Description
An account of the resource
These are images relating to Lehigh Gap, about two miles north of Slatington, where the Lehigh River flows through the gap in Blue Mountain. In the nineteenth century, this was a prime vacation spot, and there was a small station on the Lehigh Valley Railroad. There was also a small settlement on the east bank of the river, through the gap, where the Aquashicola Creek flowed into the Lehigh.
