The Bittner Hotel was just behind the Lehigh Valley Railroad Station on Railroad Street. It opened to great fanfare in 1888. This was part of a small booklet of photos, Souvenir of Slatington Penna. and Vicinity, sold by Jones Bros & Miller. These photos also appeared as regular, individual postcards.
