In the 1970s, this is what was left of the aqueduct which carried the Lehigh Canal over the Aquashicola Creek. The Central of New Jersey trestle is visible in the background.

A Lehigh Valley freight heads south on the Jersey Central tracks in the fall of 1968. In the background, you can see the old Lehigh and New England bridge being dismantled.

This steel bridge replaced the old Chain Bridge on the Slatington-Palmerton Road.
