Formerly located on the northwest corner of Walnut and Main Streets in the lower part of Slatington. This majestic building was one of several hotels in Slatington in the nineteenth century, and yes, once there were trees along the streets in town.
In the 1970s, this is what was left of the aqueduct which carried the Lehigh Canal over the Aquashicola Creek. The Central of New Jersey trestle is visible in the background.
